Terms of Sale & Refunds

These terms apply when you use comebackafter40.com or buy a product from us. Comeback After 40 is run by Lee Stavroulis, a sole trader based in Melbourne, Victoria [ABN: to be added] (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@comebackafter40.com.

1. What you’re buying

Hired Again After 20 Years: The 30-Day Comeback Kit is a digital product: a downloadable PDF workbook with a 30-day plan, scripts, worksheets, trackers and AI prompts. Nothing physical is posted to you. The free De-Age Your CV Checklist is also a PDF.

2. Price and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD). [GST: we’re not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged. Update if/when registered.] Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay are accepted where available. If you’re outside Australia, your bank may charge currency conversion fees.

3. Delivery

After payment you’re taken straight to a download page, and Stripe emails you a receipt. If you have any trouble downloading, email us with the address you used at checkout and we’ll send you the file.

4. Your licence to use the kit

When you buy the kit, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to download, print and use it for your own job search. Please don’t resell, share, upload or redistribute the files, or use them to run paid coaching or training, without our written permission. We (or our licensors) keep all copyright in the materials.

5. What the kit is, and isn’t

The kit is an organiser and a set of scripts and general information. It is not legal, financial, tax, career-counselling or mental-health advice, and it doesn’t cover negotiating your redundancy or severance. It doesn’t consider your personal circumstances. Your results depend on many things outside our control, including the job market, so we can’t and don’t guarantee that you’ll get interviews or a job. For advice about your situation, please talk to a qualified professional or a government service such as the Fair Work Ombudsman or Services Australia.

AI prompts: the kit includes prompts you can paste into third-party AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude. Those tools are run by other companies under their own terms. AI output can be wrong or made up, so check everything (especially numbers, dates and claims about your experience) before you use it on a CV or in an application. Don’t paste sensitive personal or confidential employer information into AI tools.

6. Refunds and your consumer rights

Our 14-day promise. If the kit isn’t useful to you, email us within 14 days of purchase and we’ll refund you in full. You don’t need to give a reason. We just ask that you delete your copy.

Australian Consumer Law. Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Digital products must be of acceptable quality, match their description and be fit for any purpose we told you about. If there’s a major failure (for example, the file is corrupt and we can’t fix it, or the product is significantly different from its description), you’re entitled to a refund. If there’s a minor failure, we’ll fix it or replace it within a reasonable time, and if we don’t, you can ask for a refund. Our 14-day promise is in addition to these rights, not instead of them.

Refunds go back to the original payment method. Stripe usually takes 5–10 business days to show them on your statement.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can’t be excluded. To the extent the law allows, and apart from those guarantees, we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the kit or the site, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the product.

8. The website

We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we may change, update or take down content and products at any time. Links to other websites are for convenience; we don’t control those sites.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If you’re a consumer in another country, you may also have rights under your local consumer laws.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you buy is the one that applies to your purchase.
