Privacy Policy

Last updated: [date of launch]

Comeback After 40 is run by Lee Stavroulis, a sole trader based in Melbourne, Victoria [ABN: to be added] (“we”, “us”). We respect your privacy and aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We collect as little as we need.

What we collect

  • When you ask for the free checklist: your first name and email address.
  • When you buy the kit: your name, email address and billing details. Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • When you email us: whatever you choose to include.
  • When you visit the site: our host keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and basic, aggregated traffic statistics. [If Plausible or similar analytics is added, name it here.]

Our site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe’s checkout page (on Stripe’s own website) uses cookies for payment security and fraud prevention.

How we use it

  • To send you the checklist or kit you asked for, and your receipt.
  • To send a small number of practical emails about job-hunting and our products, if you signed up for the checklist. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we follow the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
  • To answer your questions, process refunds and keep business and tax records.
  • To keep the site secure and understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful.

We don’t sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who helps us (and where they are)

We use a few trusted service providers to run the business. They handle data on our behalf and may store it outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union:

  • Netlify: website hosting and sign-up form handling.
  • Stripe: payments and receipts.
  • MailerLite: email delivery (once we switch it on). [Remove or confirm at launch.]
  • Our email provider for hello@comebackafter40.com. [Name provider.]

We choose providers with sound security practices and only share what they need to do their job.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it, including any period required by tax law, and then delete it.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe from emails any time using the link in any email, or by emailing us.
  • Ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we have to keep by law).

Email hello@comebackafter40.com. We’ll reply within 30 days.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please email us first so we can try to fix it. If you’re still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
